VOTE
Brian Downs for Circuit Court Judge
A New Voice For Families In Family Court

It's Time For Commonsense in Family Court!  It's time for Change!

Vote Brian C. Downs for Judge!

My name is Brian Downs, and I am running for 17th Circuit Court Judge in Kent County.  People ask why I want to be a judge in the greater Grand Rapids area.  The reasons are simple.

I want to bring common sense back to the Judicial process.  Too many children and families are being hurt in Family Court

I believe that children and families are the foundation of our society

I believe that politics should play no role in parenting

I believe that the Family Courts are not acting in the the best interest of our children

I believe that government funding should not influence judicial decisions

Most of all, I know that I am not alone in these expectations of our judicial system and with your vote we can bring change to our Family Court.

Families are the foundation of our society and children are our most valuable assets. When parents need to separate or divorce children should never have to worry about losing a parent and the extended family they love. Fit parents and grandparents should not fear family court.

Judges should be held accountable for poor performance on the bench. Please review the website and contact me with any questions. Below is a brief outline of my experience. It's time for positive change in our Family Court. Vote, Brian C. Downs, on November 4th. I promise to bring commonsense back to Family Court!

Brian Downs is a 51 year old father of three children (one in college) and has first hand experience raising children.  He is an attorney who has been through the Family Court system with his own family and understands the issues and challenges that families face in Family Court.  For more than six years Brian Downs has fought to reform the negative impact that the Family Court often has on children and families.
